The ASI178MM will work fine. The sensor is 6.4Mpx and produces large images so make sure to use the Raspberry Pi 4 with lots of memory to handle the timelapse and other memory intensive operations. chris

I mounted my Celestron Evolution Edge HD 8" on the EXOS 2 GT/PMC this weekend. It balanced out nicely with the weight which included cameras (T5i and Orion Starshoot Autoguider), a focal reducer and the 14 pound optical tube (around 18 pounds total).

Mar 30, 2016 · Planning on using this with my Borg 76 Achromat (narrowband imaging = no need for APO scope) which has the same focal length as the Lunt LS60, so same image scale and full disks with the ASI178MM. I use and currently in a love affair with the SkyWatcher Solarquest mount and I want to stay with it.
Now that I may have you interested, this is an UNCOOLED shot using the COOL version of ZWO's ASI178MM. This is a 6MP camera with tiny 2.4um pixels. I wasn't using cooling because I seemed to be having problems with dew formation on the sensor when I had the temperature regulation turned on, so these were taken with mother nature's own cooling system, a fairly brisk night (at least in southern California, mid-30s).
